About

Cross Creek Media was formed in 2017 to own and operate an already established portfolio of media and entertainment industry related companies that include a premiere production company, a development company, and television production company while also expanding into growing industries such as video games and VR.

Cross Creek Media has partnered with Atlanta-based NextGen Capital. NextGen brings operating capital to the companies as well as a management team to navigate the future of CCM and its affiliated entities. Aditionally, Cross Creek Media combines over a decade of established strategic relationships spanning from major motion picture studios to talent agencies and creative talent with an assembled management team of industry veterans.

Cross Creek Media will serve as the parent company to Cross Creek Pictures, a premiere independent production company and financier that produces feature films; Voyager Pictures, a development company that produces independent films; and Vermilion Entertainment, a television production and development company.

Cross Creek Pictures is a premiere independent production company and financier that works closely with top filmmakers to develop, produce and finance feature films with broad market appeal.

Started by private business investors Timmy Thompson and Tyler Thompson in the fall of 2009, Cross Creek’s films have grossed over $1 billion worldwide and have been nominated for 6 Academy Awards, 10 Golden Globes and 18 BAFTAs.

Through strategic partnerships with major studios, agencies and foreign sales companies, Cross Creek Pictures produces studio-quality films, offering A-list filmmakers and talent the opportunity to partner with a financier that fosters an environment where both creative and financial decisions are made in a symbiotic manner.

Voyager Pictures is the production and advanced development entity of Cross Creek Media.

Voyager was created to develop and produce broad market tent pole movies specifically suited for A-list actor, director, and writer combinations. Voyager Pictures develops and finances development through strategic investor partnerships throughout the entertainment industry.

Currently, Voyager is developing the Doug Liman attached sci-fi space thriller, UNEARTHED, which is set up at SONY Columbia. Additionally, Voyager Pictures is developing a modern-era Syrian-based war story entitled, AMERICAN VIGILANTE, and the Tate Taylor written Opioid epidemic project entitled AMERICAN PAIN.

In the Spring of 2015, Cross Creek Pictures founder Timmy Thompson along with Todd Thompson formed a new television production company, Vermilion Entertainment.

Vermilion’s goal is to develop, finance, and produce a strong slate of high quality scripted and unscripted television properties with A-list talent and broad market appeal. Vermilion generates and acquires creative projects in-house as well as through partnerships with producers and production companies.

In Fall of 2016, Vermilion announced their first launch into scripted television with WELCOME TO HITCHCOCK, an anthology series based off a re-imagining of the original Alfred Hitchcock Presents series, and Universal Cable Productions, the Hitchcock Estate, and Christopher Columbus’ 1492 Productions partnering. The project is currently in active development at Universal Cable Productions. Vermilion is also currently in active development on scripted projects set up at the The Mark Gordon Company and MGM TV.

Most recently, Vermilion financed and produced a documentary, STEVEN TYLER: OUT ON A LIMB, featuring an intimate portrait of rock icon Steven Tyler performing his first ever solo material as he searches for personal and creative fulfillment; distributed by eOne.
